Brazil transit departments announce large vehicle auctions

State transit departments in Brazil are conducting large-scale online vehicle auctions.

In São Paulo, Detran-SP is auctioning 710 lots in the São José do Rio Preto region. The inventory includes 227 vehicles cleared for circulation, such as cars and motorcycles, as well as 290 lots of usable scrap and 193 lots of unusable scrap intended for recycling or smelting. The auction will be held in three stages starting September 9, with bidding conducted through Rigolon Leilões.

In Rio Grande do Sul, DetranRS is hosting a virtual auction on September 10 featuring 729 items from removal and deposit centers in Porto Alegre. This includes 317 vehicles available to the general public and 412 lots of scrap restricted to accredited vehicle dismantling centers. The auction will be managed by auctioneer Giancarlo Peterlongo Lorenzini Menegotto.
