Brazil transportation leaders debate logistics regulation and urban mobility

Logistics and transportation leaders in Brazil are addressing critical regulatory and infrastructure challenges. In Ouro Preto, the National Association of Freight and Logistics (NTC&Logística) held the Intersindical meeting, gathering over 400 representatives, including union presidents and specialists. The discussions focused on tax reform, regulation, and the 2026 elections, aiming to provide strategic analysis to help companies navigate the business environment.

In Brasília, ANPTrilhos launched the ‘No Trilho Certo’ campaign to address shifts in urban mobility. Data from the National Confederation of Transport indicates a significant migration toward individual motorized transport in Brazil; between 2017 and 2024, the share of public transport usage dropped from 50% to 32%. The campaign advocates for improved financing models, lower fares, and increased comfort to encourage a return to collective rail and metro systems, which currently serve nearly 50 million people.
