The National Institute of Social Security (INSS) reported that its pending request queue fell to 1.8 million at the end of June, the lowest level in the past 21 months. Complaints about delays dropped 44%, and the institute now processes about 700 000 benefit approvals per month with an average analysis time of 50 days. Measures cited include hiring 300 new analysts, adding 500 medical examiners, expanding tele‑medicine assessments, and streamlining internal deadlines.

Separately, the automated "Meu INSS" retirement system has been rejecting more than half of the automatic pension requests, largely because the underlying data in the National Social Information Registry (CNIS) are incomplete or inaccurate. Users are advised to review and correct their CNIS records before applying.

The Department of Housing (Demhab) has launched a task force to contact families in the Minha Casa, Minha Vida program whose initial documentation did not substantiate declared priority criteria. Beneficiaries have ten days to provide missing proof, such as medical reports or risk‑area verification, to avoid changes to their allocation ranking.
