Brazil reports multiple violent crimes and fatal accidents

Various violent incidents and accidents have been reported across Brazil. In Rio de Janeiro, a 39-year-old woman, Natalia Mafra Tupinambá, was arrested after allegedly stabbing her 73-year-old mother, Graça Maria Caldas Mafra, to death in the Recreio dos Bandeirantes neighborhood. The court has converted her arrest to preventive detention, noting a history of family conflict and the suspect's reported bipolar disorder.

Other criminal reports include the death of a 16-year-old following a police confrontation in Dourados, where officers responded to a report of criminal activity linked to the PCC faction. In Porto Acre, a mother and stepfather are in preventive detention following the death of a three-year-old child, with prosecutors noting suspicious injuries and a delay in seeking medical care. In Vianópolis, a man was arrested for assaulting his 82-year-old mother, and in Vila Viçosa, a man was detained for domestic violence against his mother and brother.

Accidents were also reported, including a fatal collision involving a cyclist in Nova Serrana and a car rollover on the PR-444 in Apucarana. Additionally, an elderly woman in Rio do Sul was hospitalized after being bitten by a jararaca snake while gardening.
