Dourados teenager dies after being shot during police raid

A 16-year-old boy has died in Dourados after spending 15 days hospitalized following a police operation. The incident occurred on August 25 during a raid at a residence in Jardim Colibri.

According to the Civil Police, the operation was launched after two other adolescents reported committing crimes under the orders of the PCC (Primeiro Comando da Capital) gang. The teenager was reportedly part of the faction. During the approach, the youth allegedly pulled a .38 caliber revolver from under a pillow and fired at officers, prompting a return shot that struck him.

Authorities seized a revolver, ammunition, motorcycles with tampered identification, drugs, a precision scale, cell phones, and cash during the raid. An 18-year-old man was arrested at the scene, and investigations are ongoing to identify other members of the group.
