Brazil Women's U-17 squad announced for World Cup in Morocco

The Brazil Women's U-17 National Team has announced its 26-player squad for the upcoming FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup in Morocco, scheduled from October 17 to November 7. Coach Rilany Silva selected a roster heavily featuring players from the São Paulo football scene, including athletes from Corinthians, São Paulo, and Ferroviária. Notable inclusions include 16-year-old striker Sofia Gamonal from São Paulo.

Brazil is placed in Group C alongside Canada, Norway, and Ghana. The team is set to make its tournament debut on October 18 against Canada, followed by matches against Ghana on October 21 and Norway on October 24. The group stage matches will be held at the Mohammed VI Football Academy in Salé.

Separately, the senior Brazil Women's National Team has announced roster changes for upcoming friendlies against Argentina. Following a knee injury to Thais Ferreira of Corinthians, coach Arthur Elias has called up Carol Gil from São Paulo to join the squad for matches in Porto Alegre and Recife.
