Brazil Under-17 futsal team to debut in South American Championship

The Brazilian Under-17 men's futsal team is set to debut in the 2026 CONMEBOL South American Championship this Sunday in Luque, Paraguay. The team will face Ecuador in their opening match at the Complejo Suma.

This tournament represents a significant milestone for the squad, as the Under-17 category is the only one in which Brazil has never won the South American title. The delegation arrived in Paraguay following a training period at the Instituto Philippe Coutinho in Rio de Janeiro. The competition features a first phase from August 9 to 13, with semifinals scheduled for August 15 and the final on August 16.
