Brazil updates foreign trade systems with Duimp and Siscomex changes
Brazil has implemented several changes to its foreign trade systems during October. Key updates include the migration of maritime bulk cargo imports to the Single Import Declaration (Duimp) system, replacing the Import Declaration (DI) as the standard rule. Additionally, products requiring prior approval from the Superintendency of the Manaus Free Trade Zone (Suframa) can now be registered via Duimp.
In the Siscomex Remessa system, new validations for the NCM and cClassTrib fields were introduced on October 1. These fields must now contain at least six valid digits to prevent the rejection of Import Remittance Declarations (DIR), a move intended to align data with Consumption Tax Reform requirements. The Federal Revenue Service has also modified customs guidance channels.
