Brazil voter trends show indecision and impact of Banco Master case

Recent polling in Brazil highlights varying levels of voter influence and indecision ahead of upcoming elections. According to an Indexa Pesquisas report, 38% of voters indicated they would be less likely to vote for a candidate with political or personal ties to those investigated in the Banco Master case. Conversely, 35% stated the investigations would not influence their decision.

The survey noted regional differences, with the Southeast and Northeast seeing the lowest impact from the scandal on voting intentions. Political affiliation also plays a role: 36% of centrist voters reported the case would influence them, compared to 28% of PT supporters and 24% of Bolsonaro supporters.

Separately, a Quaest poll reveals that 10% of Brazilian voters remain undecided in stimulated voting scenarios. This represents a significant increase from the 6% indecision rate recorded during the same period in 2022. Indecision is notably higher among women (14%) than men (6%), and is most concentrated in the South and Southeast regions.
