Brazil wins four medals at parataekwondo Grand Prix in South Korea

The Brazilian parataekwondo team secured four medals at the Grand Prix in Muju, South Korea. The competition featured 120 athletes from 27 different nations and serves as a key event for ranking points toward the Los Angeles 2028 Paralympic Games.

Silvana Fernandes won the gold medal in the under 57 kg category after defeating China's Yuji Lie with a 2-0 score. In the men's division, Gustavo Antonio Ruppel earned a silver medal in the 58 kg category following a 2-0 loss to Azerbaijan's Sabir Zeynalov.

Two bronze medals were also added to Brazil's tally. Maria Eduarda Stumpf took bronze in the 57 kg category, and Ana Carolina Moura secured bronze in the 65 kg category. All Brazilian competitors participated in the K44 class, which is the only parataekwondo category currently in the official Paralympic program.
