Brazil wins two historic gold medals at Rhythmic Gymnastics World Championships

The Brazilian rhythmic gymnastics team achieved historic results at the World Championships in Frankfurt, Germany, securing two unprecedented gold medals. The team won the five balls final and the mixed series final, both with a score of 29.450. This performance placed Brazil ahead of traditional powerhouses such as China and Bulgaria in those specific events.

In addition to the two golds, the Brazilian group earned a bronze medal in the general competition with a score of 55.500. This achievement secured an early qualification for the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games. The team, coached by Camila Ferezin, consists of Maria Eduarda Arakaki, Maria Paula Caminha, Mariana Goncalves, Julia Kurunczi, Sofia Madeira, and Nicole Pircio.

Germany's Darja Varfolomeev led the overall medal standings, winning three golds and one bronze. Brazil finished the championship with a historic performance, marking its best standing in the competition's history.
