The Brazil women's national football team has become the most followed women's national team on Instagram, reaching 3.1 million followers. This milestone places Brazil ahead of the United States, which holds 2.3 million followers. Other top-ranked teams include England with 1.5 million, Australia with 759,000, and France with 634,000.

Between January and July 2026, the official profile accumulated 186 million views and 9.5 million interactions. Fábio Seixas, communications director for the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF), stated that the growth reflects successful communication efforts and increased engagement as the country prepares to host the Women's World Cup.

This digital surge aligns with broader trends in Brazil, where women's football has seen significant growth. Data from Ibope Repucom indicates that the sport now has 58 million fans in Brazil, representing 46% of the adult population connected to the internet. This reflects a 57% increase in fans over the last four years.
