Brazil women's volleyball heads to France match as Brazil Ladies Cup kicks off in July
The Brazil women's national volleyball team will play France in the second week of the Nations League on June 17 in Ankara, Turkey. Central players Julia Kudiess and Diana have been highlighted for their blocking and serving stats, and the team enters the match unbeaten with 11 points. Coach José Roberto Guimarães is suspended for the match and assistant Paulo Coco will lead the squad.
Meanwhile, the sixth edition of the Brazil Ladies Cup football tournament will be held from July 9 to 12 at the Brinco de Ouro stadium in Campinas, São Paulo. Four teams – Flamengo, Palmeiras, Peñarol and the Paraguay women's national team – will compete, with semifinals and a final scheduled for July 12. The event aims to promote the development of women's football in South America.
