Brazilian actors join upcoming Globoplay and Globo productions

Brazilian entertainment news features new casting announcements for upcoming productions. Mell Muzzillo has been cast in a prominent role as a police officer in the sixth season of the Globoplay series ‘Arcanjo renegado’. Directed by Isabella Gabaglia, filming is scheduled to begin in Rio in October, with a projected release in the second half of 2026. The new season will feature settings in the Amazon Rainforest and a plot involving a gubernatorial campaign.

Additionally, Thardelly Lima has joined the cast of the upcoming 6 PM telenovela ‘Lá na minha terra’. He will portray the character Biró. The story follows Rosenda, played by Dira Paes, as she travels from the northeastern sertão to São Paulo to find her missing husband. The cast also includes Lilia Cabral, Arianne Botelho, and Gabriela Loran.
