Brazilian actress Bruna Marquezine secures court order to stop unauthorized photos with Shawn Mendes

A fan photographed Brazilian actress Bruna Marquezine and Canadian singer Shawn Mendes sharing an intimate moment on Rio de Janeiro's Praia de São Conrado, sparking widespread social‑media attention.

Separately, a Rio court granted Marquezine a preliminary injunction against photographer Dilson Santos and agency Agnews, prohibiting them from publishing, licensing or otherwise exploiting images taken inside her apartment. The ruling also orders the removal of any already circulated photos, requires a full inventory of parties who received the images, and allows Marquezine to seek R$ 40,000 in moral damages.

The judge emphasized that the order protects Marquezine’s privacy rights and does not limit legitimate journalistic activity, aiming to prevent further intrusion without public interest justification.
