Brazilian actresses return to Globoplay productions
Veteran Brazilian actresses Patrícia França and Danielle Winits are returning to Globo productions via Globoplay after decade-long absences.
Patrícia França, 55, joins the cast of “Paraíso Perdido.” She has used the opportunity to advocate for greater representation of older actors in audiovisual media, noting that current discussions around ageism allow for more visibility for professionals over 50. She also noted the cinematic quality of the new production's equipment.
Danielle Winits, 52, stars in the vertical thriller “Eu Não Era Louca, Era Casada.” The production focuses on the psychological abuse known as gaslighting. Winits, who plays a psychiatrist, stated that participating in a project addressing such themes is a way to reflect on social issues and personal healing regarding violence against women.
