Brazilian airports implement green fleets and new passenger services
Maringá Regional Airport has opened an electronic bidding process to lease a fleet of executive and utility vehicles, focusing on electric and hybrid models. The initiative aims to modernize services and promote sustainability. The project involves an investment of up to R$ 1,772,518.32 for 13 vehicles, including electric cars for executive and operational use, SUVs, utility vehicles, and minibuses. Airport president Gustavo Vieira stated that the goal is to lead the Brazilian aviation ESG agenda, with a plan to ensure all vehicles in the aircraft movement area are electric or hybrid within two years.
Afonso Pena International Airport in São José dos Pinhais has expanded its passenger services. New amenities include a luggage storage facility located near arrival access C, a rental service for baby equipment such as strollers and cribs provided by Locbaby, and a Teske Spa offering massage and reflexology services. These additions are intended to improve convenience for travelers and families passing through the terminal.
