Brazilian Armed Forces complete Operation Formosa 2026

The Brazilian Ministry of Defense concluded Operation Formosa 2026, a large-scale joint military exercise held at the Formosa Instruction Field in Goiás. The 11-day operation involved the integrated coordination of the Brazilian Navy, Army, and Air Force to test interoperability, command and control, and logistical support in a hostile Cerrado environment.

In addition to 2,900 Brazilian military personnel, the exercise included troops from the United States, France, and Paraguay. International observers from several nations, including Argentina, Angola, Bolivia, Cameroon, Italy, Mexico, and others, also participated in the training mission.
