Brazilian Association of Psychiatry announces CBP 2026 congress details

The Brazilian Association of Psychiatry (ABP) is preparing for the XLIII Brazilian Congress of Psychiatry (CBP 2026) in São Paulo. The event will feature various specialized discussions and academic competitions.

Dr. Ronaldo Laranjeira is scheduled to participate in three major activities, including a forum on domestic violence where he will present a national survey on violence against children and adolescents. His sessions will also cover clinical and social psychiatry, as well as the role of psychiatry in addressing the 'Cracolândia' situation in São Paulo.

Additionally, the congress will host 'Conexões ABP,' a program designed to integrate medical students, residents, and psychiatry trainees into the scientific ecosystem. The program includes two competitive modalities: the Academic Challenge in Psychiatry (DAP) for medical students and the Challenge for Psychiatry Residents and Trainees (DEP). Registration for these challenges is open until October 15.
