Brazilian athletes compete in inaugural Ultimate Championship de Atletismo

Brazilian athletes Alison dos Santos, Matheus Lima, and Gabriele dos Santos are competing in the inaugural Ultimate Championship de Atletismo. The event, a new addition to the World Athletics calendar, brings together Olympic champions, World Championship medalists, and Diamond League winners in a condensed competition format.

In the 400m hurdles, Brazil will have two finalists: Alison dos Santos, the current Diamond League champion and world record holder, and Matheus Lima, who is ranked sixth in the world. Dos Santos advanced to the final with a time of 47.25 seconds, while Lima qualified with a time of 47.91 seconds. They will face competition from Norwegian athlete Karsten Warholm.

In the triple jump, Gabriele dos Santos is among the eight best athletes in the world competing for the title. She expressed her gratitude for the opportunity to compete against the world's elite and highlighted the support of her coach, Tânia Moura.
