Brazilian athletes compete in international ultramarathon and paralympic events

Brazilian athletes are making significant appearances in international athletics competitions. In Spain, Laurindo Nunes Neto is participating in the IAU 100 km Ultramarathon World Championships in Coruña. Nunes Neto, representing Balneário Camboriú, aims to achieve a time under 6h20, which would approach the South American record.

In Colombia, the Brazilian Paralympic athletics team debuted at the Grand Prix de Cali, securing 11 medals on the first day of competition, including seven golds. Maria Clara Araújo stood out by winning the 100m T35 with a time of 13s73, a mark that surpasses her own previous Americas record, pending official ratification.
