Law enforcement agencies conduct major drug and crime operations across Latin America

Police and anti-drug agencies across several countries have executed significant operations targeting narcotics trafficking and organized crime. In Argentina, a massive operation in Córdoba resulted in 19 arrests and the seizure of over 47,000 doses of cocaine, along with firearms and significant cash. In northern Argentina, authorities intercepted 53 kilograms of cocaine hidden in a vehicle's dashboard and conducted raids in Jujuy. Other regional activities include the seizure of vehicles linked to a Ponzi scheme in Tucumán and the recovery of stolen cattle in Virasoro.

In Paraguay, the National Anti-Drug Secretariat (SENAD) dismantled a micro-trafficking site in Ayolas, an area currently vulnerable due to flooding. Additionally, prosecutors in Mariano Roque Alonso seized chemical precursors used for cocaine production following the interception of a truck.

In other regions, authorities in Ecuador intercepted 199 red crabs being illegally prepared for export at Quito's airport, violating a six-year ban. In Brazil, municipal guards in Sorocaba arrested a man and seized hundreds of portions of various narcotics near a school.
