Brazilian authorities seize luxury vehicle and cash in separate incidents

Federal Highway Police (PRF) recovered a stolen vehicle in São José do Rio Preto, São Paulo, after intelligence systems detected a cloned license plate. The vehicle, which had been stolen in São Paulo in July, was being used by a 21-year-old app driver. The fraud was identified when radar systems recorded the same plate in both São Paulo and Rio Grande do Sul at times that made travel between the two locations impossible.

In a separate incident in Guarulhos, Military Police seized a Mercedes luxury vehicle and R$ 100,000 in cash. The vehicle was being driven without license plates when it was intercepted. One of the occupants in the car stated that the cash belonged to their employer, influencer Thiago Ribeiro de Lima, also known as Toguro, who was required to report to a police station to provide statements.
