Brazilian authorities seize weapons, drugs, and drone equipment

In separate law enforcement operations in Brazil, police seized various illicit items in Rio de Janeiro and Mato Grosso.

In Belford Roxo, Rio de Janeiro, Military Police officers recovered a 9mm pistol, a radio transmitter, and an unspecified quantity of narcotics. The seizure occurred in the Shangri-lá neighborhood, an area identified as an operating zone for the Comando Vermelho criminal organization. The incident has been referred to the 54th DP.

In Rondonópolis, Mato Grosso, penal officers intercepted a drone at the Major PM Eldo de Sá Corrêa Penitentiary, also known as Mata Grande. Following the detection of the drone overflying the facility, authorities seized the aircraft along with six chargers and three pairs of headphones. The operation was conducted by the state's Anti-Drone Team as part of the 'Zero Tolerance for Criminal Factions' program.
