Brazilian authors launch books for charitable causes
Journalist and writer Wiliam de Oliveira is launching his new book, ‘Para frase, ando’, in Poços de Caldas, Minas Gerais. The book, which features a preface by Nany People, consists of a collection of phrases gathered throughout his career. All proceeds from the book sales will be used to fund medical treatment for a 9-year-old child named Jojô.
In Sergipe, writer Antônio Camilo will release his tenth book, ‘Jairo Alves de Almeida – Hoje é Dia de Retreta’, at the Museu da Gente Sergipana in Aracaju. The work serves as a biography of radio personality Jairo Alves, documenting his long career in regional broadcasting. Similar to Oliveira's initiative, the proceeds from Camilo's book sales will be donated to the Família do Coração Imaculado de Maria community.
