Brazilian authors release new works on mental health and emotion
Psychiatrist Nina Ferreira is launching her first book, ‘Sinto Muito!’, at the 28th São Paulo International Book Biennial. Published by Editora Labrador, the work uses fiction and clinical knowledge to explore nine universal emotions, including fear, guilt, shame, and anger, to promote emotional re-education and self-knowledge.
In a separate literary development, author Natalia Timerman has released ‘Antes que apague’ through Companhia das Letras. The novel explores the complexities of family relationships and the challenges of living with a parent affected by Alzheimer's disease, drawing on themes of memory loss and generational silence.
