Brazilian Badminton Duo Vivian Iha and Fhelipe Santos Lead Pinheiros at Pan‑American Junior Championships

Vivian Nanami Iha and Fhelipe Santos of Esporte Clube Pinheiros represented Brazil in the Under‑19 category at the Pan‑American Junior Badminton Championships in João Pessoa, Brazil, from July 19‑26. They were starters in every team match—women's, men's and mixed doubles—marking the first time two Pinheiros athletes held such roles for the national side. Their wins helped Brazil defeat Jamaica and El Salvador and secure a semifinal against Canada.

In the individual draws, Iha and Santos paired in mixed doubles, advancing to the second round before losing to the eventual Canadian champions. Santos also competed in men's doubles with Marcos Filho and in men's singles, where he recorded notable victories over a Canadian opponent and the top‑seeded U.S. junior before exiting in the quarterfinals against fellow Brazilian Hiarley Branco.
