Brazilian bank workers rally ahead of 2026 National Conference
Union leaders of Brazil's banking sector convened in June to prepare for the 28th National Bankers Conference, scheduled for 19‑21 June in São Paulo. On 16 June the SindBan of Piracicaba and Region gathered directors from public and private banks to discuss abusive productivity targets, job security amid digital transformation, workplace health issues, and the responsible use of artificial‑intelligence in finance. The meeting fed into the broader agenda for the upcoming conference.
At the 36th Congress of Banco do Brasil employees on 18 June, representatives of Cassi – the bank’s health assistance entity – presented its 2024‑2028 management plan, highlighting network expansion, a shift to value‑based health governance, and goals to raise member satisfaction from 69 % to 75 %.
The following day, 19 June, the National Employees Meeting of Bradesco took place at the Holiday Inn Parque Anhembi. Delegates reviewed the economic outlook, debated the 2026‑2028 campaign strategy, and drafted specific demands for Bradesco workers, emphasizing unity ahead of the national conference and the upcoming 2026 elections.
