Brazilian bank workers secure wage increase proposal

Brazilian bank workers have reached a proposal following 13 rounds of negotiations to secure wage increases for 2026 and 2027. The agreement includes a full inflation adjustment (INPC) plus a 0.6% real increase applied to salaries and various benefits, such as meal and food vouchers, childcare assistance, and Profit Sharing (PLR).

Beyond financial adjustments, the proposal includes several labor rights and workplace improvements. These include participation in risk management programs, the right to disconnect, professional requalification, and additional compensation for dismissals. The agreement also establishes mechanisms for mental health support and a channel to combat moral and sexual harassment.

The proposal will be submitted to worker assemblies for deliberation on September 3 and 4. Negotiators noted that the agreement maintains the unity of the single negotiation table and protects existing rights within the Collective Labor Convention (CCT).
