Brazilian Baptist churches mark 30‑year anniversary and youth month in August

The Igreja Batista Betel de Lagarto in Sergipe celebrated its 30th anniversary on 1 August with a festive worship service, community outreach projects and a special sermon by Pastor Vitelmo. Founded in 1996, the church highlighted its social ministries, including health, counseling and assistance to vulnerable groups across Lagarto.

Meanwhile, the Primeira Igreja Evangélica Batista in Pindamonhangaba, São Paulo, organized a month‑long “Baptist Youth Month” throughout August 2026. The program, themed “Holiness in a generation without references,” featured weekend gatherings, biblical teaching and activities aimed at strengthening the spiritual life of local young people.
