Brazilian blood donation campaigns aim to replenish hospital supplies

A group of donors traveled to the Hemocentro in Francisco Beltrão to donate blood, helping maintain the stock of components used for transfusions, surgeries, treatments and emergencies. Organizers noted that each donation can benefit up to four patients.

In the state of Acre, the Centro de Hematologia e Hemoterapia (Hemoacre) launched the third "Corrida pela Vida" on July 26, offering 3‑km and 5‑km routes to attract new donors and retain regular ones. Registrations are open until July 11, and participants must donate at the Hemoacre venue. The event is intended to boost the highly dynamic blood inventories that serve public and private hospitals across the state.
