Brazilian Business Groups Publish 2026 Policy Agendas

The Confederação Nacional da Indústria (CNI) and the Confederação Nacional do Comércio de Bens, Serviços e Turismo (CNC) released comprehensive documents outlining their policy priorities for the 2026 electoral cycle. CNI’s "Construindo o Brasil 2050" proposes a national strategy centered on macro‑economic stability, productivity, innovation and a stronger industrial base, while CNC’s "Agenda Institucional do Sistema Comércio 2026" sets out positions on more than a hundred economic, regulatory and legislative issues. Both organisations represent a large share of Brazil’s economy—CNI covers roughly 930,000 industrial firms and over 10 million jobs, and CNC represents over 7 million establishments, about 30 million formal jobs and 44.6 % of GDP—giving them significant political influence.

In a related regional effort, the "Voz Única 2026" document was presented on 4 August 2026 in the city council chamber of Videira, Brazil. The event gathered local entrepreneurs and community leaders to discuss the sector’s main demands and to strengthen dialogue with public authorities, aiming to guide regional development plans.

Both initiatives seek to shape the upcoming government’s agenda by emphasizing fiscal responsibility, regulatory predictability, reduction of the "Custo Brasil" and the transformation of innovation into productivity.
