Brazilian parties hold August 2026 conventions ahead of elections

Avante Pernambuco convened on 28 July 2026 in Recife, reaffirming support for Governor Raquel Lyra and Senate candidates Túlio Gadêlha, Eduardo da Fonte and Fernando Dueire. The PSD organised a regional meeting on 31 July 2026 in União da Vitória, attended by Governor Ratinho Junior and gubernatorial candidate Sandro Alex.
