Xuxa Meneghel celebrates becoming a grandmother for the first time

Brazilian presenter Xuxa Meneghel has shared an archival video from 1999 to celebrate the news that her daughter, Sasha Meneghel, is pregnant. The footage, taken from the program “Xuxa Park” when Sasha was nearly one year old, shows the presenter imagining the moment she would eventually become a grandmother.

Sasha Meneghel, a fashion designer, is expecting her first child with her husband, singer João Lucas. The couple married in 2021. In her social media post, Xuxa expressed her long-standing desire to become “Vovuxa” and jokingly apologized to Sasha for having frequently asked about grandchildren over the years.

The announcement has drawn reactions from family and friends, including singer João Lucas and Luciano Szafir, who expressed joy regarding the new addition to the family.
