Brazilian chefs host culinary events celebrating coastal ingredients

Various culinary events are highlighting Brazilian coastal ingredients through chef collaborations and festivals.

On September 3, the “Maré Cheia – Encontro de Chefs” will take place at Terra Restaurante. The event features an eight-course menu created by chefs Pedro Godoy, Filipe Duarte, and Rafael Benamor. The collaboration aims to showcase how different regional products and cooking styles from Pernambuco, São Paulo, and Alagoas can interact.

Additionally, the third edition of the Penedo Sabor & Jazz Festival will be held in Penedo on August 28 and 29. The festival includes free cooking demonstrations hosted by the Senac Mobile Gastronomy Unit. Featured chefs include Thiago Maia, Rafael Benamor, and several others, who will present various regional dishes such as Arroz Caiçara and Patacones de Siri to the public.
