Brazilian churches adopt advanced audiovisual technology
Large religious temples in Brazil are increasingly investing in advanced audiovisual technology, similar to the systems used in entertainment arenas, to enhance worship experiences. This trend aims to integrate professional audio, lighting, image systems, and broadcasting to serve both in-person attendees and a growing digital audience.
A notable example is the newly inaugurated Assembleia de Deus Fonte de Vida temple in Vitória, Espírito Santo. With a capacity for 7,000 people, the facility features an audiovisual project by Mídia In Led that includes approximately 700 square meters of indoor LED panels and cable-suspended cameras.
This shift reflects changing audience behaviors, as many followers now participate via social media and live streams. Consequently, religious institutions are treating audiovisual elements as a central part of the spiritual experience rather than mere support, ensuring high-quality immersion for those in the back rows of the temple as well as those watching via mobile devices or television.
