Brazilian cities Araras and Arapongas allocate over R$ 679,000 for local projects

The municipality of Araras in São Paulo, led by Mayor Elaine Brambilla, approved an additional credit of R$ 329,634 to refurbish three public squares – Praça João Paulo II, Praça Major Lévy Sobrinho and Praça Ignácio Zurita. The funding combines R$ 300,000 from a 2025 surplus and R$ 29,634 reallocated from existing budget lines, and is intended to improve urban infrastructure, safety and comfort for residents.

In the Paraná city of Arapongas, Mayor Rafael Cita formalised a transfer of R$ 350,000 to three social‑assistance organisations. The Instituto Casa do Bom Menino receives R$ 100,000 for its children’s support programme, Aprisco Pássaros da Paz de Arapongas (APPA) gets R$ 150,000 to provide shelter for vulnerable adults, and Casa do Aguardo Professor Hideo Okuyama (CAPHO) is allocated R$ 100,000 to aid caregivers of patients attending local hospitals. Both municipalities cite the initiatives as part of broader efforts to enhance public spaces and social services.
