Brazilian Cities Boost Road Safety with Motorcyclist Gear Distribution and Extended Traffic Week

The Taboão da Serra Traffic Secretariat held a "Pedágio do Bem" event on May 28 in Pirajuçara, providing motorcyclists with safety equipment such as antenna cut‑kites, chain oil, key‑chains and vehicle inspections. The initiative, in partnership with STR Honda, is part of the national "Maio Amarelo" campaign whose 2025 theme is "In Traffic, Seeing the Other Saves Lives" and includes school theatre performances and educational circuits.

In Londrina, the National Traffic Week scheduled for September 18‑25 was extended by one day. Under the 2025 slogan "Desacelere. Seu bem maior é a vida" (Slow down – your greatest good is life), the municipal Traffic and Urbanization Company organized an opening ceremony with a rescue simulation, a children's educational vehicle tour, games, a mini‑Fusca exhibit, free transport cards for seniors and students, and a car‑free day featuring skate‑boarding and e‑scooter areas. Both initiatives aim to reduce speed‑related accidents and promote safer road behaviour.
