Brazilian cities Coité and Uberlândia achieve top primary health care ratings

Conceição do Coité, in the state of Bahia, received the highest primary health care ratings in its region, with 95.24% of Family Health teams, 100% of Oral Health teams and 75% of multi‑professional teams rated “Excellent” by the Ministry of Health. The municipality earned 91.67 points overall and 88.19 points on quality indicators, placing it first in the Serrinha health region, fourth in Bahia, among the ten best in the Northeast and 27th nationally.

Uberlândia, in Minas Gerais, was recognized by the Ministry of Health as achieving the best performance in the nation’s primary health care assessment. The city obtained maximum scores across criteria such as service access, quality of care, patient follow‑up and team performance at basic health units, reflecting substantial municipal investment in the Family Health Strategy and basic health services.
