Brazilian cities extend enrollment for youth education and housing programs

The Salvador municipal government extended the deadline for the IngreSSAr program to June 9. The initiative provides 1,000 free preparatory course places for public‑school students aged 16‑29 who are registered in the Cadastro Único. Applicants must complete online registration and deliver documents in person at the SPMJ office. "Extending the deadline demonstrates our commitment to ensure no one misses the chance for free quality tutoring," said SPMJ head Fernanda Lordêlo.

The municipality of Altos in Piauí opened registrations on June 2 for the first phase of the Minha Casa, Minha Vida housing program. Applications are accepted until June 22 at the SEMDSC office, with eligibility based on family income, composition, and vulnerability criteria, including reserved quotas for seniors and people with disabilities. Required documents include ID, CPF, proof of residence, income statements, and a summary of the Cadastro Único.
