Brazilian cities extend local financial incentive programs

The mayor of Rio Preto, Fabio Candido, signed a decree on July 31 extending the Programa de Pagamento Incentivado (PPI) until September 2, allowing taxpayers to settle debts with discounts of up to 75% on interest and fines and to spread payments over up to 18 months.

In Campina Grande, mayor Bruno Cunha Lima announced on July 29 that the Additional Financial Incentive (IFA) for Community Health Agents and Disease‑Control Agents will be paid on July 30, continuing a benefit that was regularized during his administration.

Both measures aim to ease financial burdens for residents and reinforce municipal commitments to public services and debt regularization.
