Diamantino and Aparecida start municipal road resurfacing projects

The city of Diamantino in Mato Grosso began micro‑surfacing asphalt works on several avenues and streets between July 9 and July 17. The first phase covers Avenida das Palmeiras, Avenida Padre Edgar Schimidth, Avenida Ministro Gilmar Ferreira Mendes, Avenida Dom Alonso and streets such as Cajarana, Montes Claros and Jacarandá. The program, funded with more than R$8.1 million in partnership with the state government, includes temporary blockages and new horizontal and vertical signage. Officials asked residents to respect the signage, noting, “Pedimos a compreensão da população pelos transtornos momentâneos…”.

In Aparecida de Goiânia, mayor Leandro Vilela inspected the start of asphalt recapping on four streets (MG‑3, MG‑13, MG‑16, MG‑17) in the Madre Germana 1 sector. About 1.5 km of new CBUQ asphalt will be laid, part of the broader “Pra Frente Aparecida” plan that aims to treat 353 km of micro‑surfacing and 58 km of milling followed by new asphalt across 167 neighborhoods. Vilela emphasized quality control, saying, “A gente vistoria as obras todas as semanas…”. The municipality targets renewing roughly 80 % of its road network by the end of the mayor’s term.
