Brazilian cities open online portals for ISS and municipal tax payments
Companies and self‑employed professionals in Araucária, Brazil, can now generate and pay the ISS Fixed tax and the municipal verification and operation fee through the city’s new self‑service portal. Payments made in full are due on 31 July, with the first installment of any five‑month plan also due on that date.
In Salvador, the municipal finance department has made the 2026 Tax on Fiscal Operation (TFF) and ISS invoices available for issuance online. The city moved the single‑payment deadline to 30 June and staggered subsequent instalments to 31 July and 31 August, ending a pandemic‑era schedule that placed payments in May. A 7 % discount applies to single‑payment ISS, and the portal supports PIX, credit/debit cards and other payment methods. Authorities expect over 111 000 taxpayers to pay TFF and about 9 000 to pay ISS, with revenues funding municipal inspection, health and sanitation services.
