Brazilian cities Pato Branco and Toledo begin Christmas preparations
Municipalities in Paraná, Brazil, have commenced the installation of Christmas decorations to prepare for year-end festivities.
In Pato Branco, the installation in the central area has led the Municipal Transit Department (DEPATRAN) to implement a height limit of 3.80 meters for vehicles on Rua Guarani, specifically between the roundabout and Super Polo. Authorities have deployed agents to guide drivers and prevent damage to the decorative structures, which are intended for reuse in future years. A Christmas parade is scheduled for November 21.
In Toledo, the city has implemented a phased installation plan divided into smaller lots to increase efficiency. While work is progressing on avenues and central districts, officials noted that rain has caused some delays in plaza installations. The city has allocated approximately R$ 2 million for these holiday actions, aiming to stimulate local commerce and tourism. The official launch of Toledo's Christmas program is set for November 13.
