Brazilian cities Pelotas and Florianópolis open new municipal service centers

From Monday, 4 May, PelotasBalcão do Empreendedor began operating in the main hall of the Secretariat of Development, Entrepreneurship and Innovation (SDEI) at Félix da Cunha 603. The centre now serves the public Monday‑Friday, 08:00‑14:00, offering micro‑entrepreneur formalisation, debt negotiation, tax‑bill issuance and other support services to roughly 150 visitors each month.

On the same day, Florianópolis’ consumer‑protection agency Procon moved to a new headquarters on Hermann Blumenau 215. The new premises include four mediation rooms, tripling the previous capacity, and operate Monday‑Friday, 08:00‑18:00 without a lunch break. No appointment is required; citizens can attend with personal documents and proof of purchase to open a case or receive guidance.
