Mayor Flávia Moretti celebrates ACAMIS 15-year milestone and signs school safety law
Várzea Grande Mayor Flávia Moretti attended the 15th anniversary of the Associação Caminhando para Mais um Sonho (ACAMIS), highlighting the partnership between municipal government and the nonprofit that provides education, cultural activities, and meals to vulnerable children and families in the city's Cristo Rei and Jardim dos Estados neighborhoods. She noted that the organization “does a social and public role together with the municipality,” emphasizing its impact on community inclusion and development.
In a separate initiative, the mayor sanctioned municipal law No. 5.531/2026, which requires educational materials supplied by the city to include clear messages on preventing sexual abuse and the Disque 100 reporting hotline. The law aims to raise awareness among students and facilitate access to protection resources.
Both actions reflect the administration’s focus on child welfare, community partnership, and preventive education in Várzea Grande.
