Brazilian clubs boost youth sports development programs

Volleyball prospects Pedro Alexandrina (17) and Joaquim Sikorski (18), graduates of the Itajaí Pró‑Vôlei social project, have been signed by AmaVôlei Maringá, the reigning Paraná champion, for the 2026 season. The duo completed a three‑day trial and earned roster spots, reflecting the club's focus on nurturing talent from regional training initiatives.

Meanwhile, football club Águia de Marabá continues its "Águia Formando Cidadãos pelo Futebol" program, which serves more than 1,100 children and adolescents across seven community centers in Pará. The project provides equipment, educational support, and health activities, emphasizing school attendance and civic values despite the professional team's season having ended.

Both initiatives illustrate how Brazilian sports organizations are investing in community‑based programs that combine athletic training with education and social inclusion.
