Brazilian community projects promote women's health and wellbeing

Community initiatives in Brazil are providing women with health education, basic food assistance, and creative therapeutic activities. In the Sol Nascente neighborhood of the Federal District, the Instituto Mulher em Ação e Família distributed food baskets and offered guidance on women's health, with local doctor Dr. Simone Santos emphasizing the value of bringing health services directly to residents.

In Campos Novos, the Associação Rede Feminina de Combate ao Câncer, together with the Instituto Humaniza, runs the “Arte que Cura” project. The program offers free workshops in choral singing, cooking, and macramé, using art therapy to strengthen emotional resilience and promote holistic health among participating women. The project is supported by the local energy company ENERCAN and will continue until December 2026.
