Brazilian companies hesitate to invest in AI search visibility

A survey conducted by the agency Bloomin in June 2026 reveals a disconnect between how Brazilian companies perceive consumer behavior and their own investment in artificial intelligence. While 94.4% of surveyed companies in sectors such as metallurgy, construction, food, and industrial trade believe their clients are using or will use generative AI tools like ChatGPT and Google Gemini to find suppliers, 83.3% stated they have no formal plans to invest in their presence within these platforms.

Many companies reported difficulty being discovered through AI. Among those who monitored AI responses, only 22.2% saw their own brand mentioned, while an equal percentage saw only competitors being recommended. Market analysis suggests that approximately 73% of brands are effectively invisible in AI searches, often due to inadvertently blocking tool crawlers. Despite recognizing AI as a vital future search channel, only 11.7% of the companies surveyed consider investing in AI positioning an immediate priority.
