Brazilian companies launch promotional campaigns using collectible merchandise

Various Brazilian companies are utilizing collectible merchandise as part of promotional campaigns.

Cinépolis, a major cinema operator in Latin America, is offering over 30 models of pop culture-inspired collectibles, including buckets, cups, and lunchboxes. The items feature characters from franchises such as Lilo & Stitch, Spider-Man, Minions, and Mario, with prices ranging from R$ 9,99 to R$ 59,99. The promotion is available at all Cinépolis units in Brazil through October 31, 2026, or while supplies last.

In the automotive sector, car rental company Unidas has partnered with DC Comics to offer Batman-themed miniatures to customers who rent vehicles with Premium Protection. The collection includes characters like Harley Quinn, Joker, Catwoman, and Robin, with a limited edition Golden Batman available. This strategy aims to incentivize the selection of comprehensive insurance packages. According to the Brazilian Association of Brand and Character Licensing (Abral), the licensed products market in Brazil generates over R$ 20 billion annually.
