Brazilian companies prioritize soft skills and boost corporate benefits for workers

A Panorama Youth and Future of Work 2026 study by Instituto Reciclar found that 92% of Brazilian firms intend to prioritize soft skills when hiring young talent over the next five years, with 78% valuing these abilities even above formal diplomas. The research highlighted that half of young people face challenges developing socio‑emotional competencies, while employers seek clear communication, problem‑solving and adaptability. Specific competencies most demanded include responsibility (83%), professional posture (50%), and problem‑solving ability (33%).

Meanwhile, the corporate benefits platform Clube Ben, created by Proxy Media, now serves about 1.5 million workers across more than 150 participating companies. Between 2025 and 2026 the platform’s employer base grew 47% and its user count rose 155%, reflecting the growing strategic role of benefits in talent attraction and retention. CEOs emphasise that effective communication, easy navigation and data‑driven impact measurement are essential for maximizing employee engagement with such programs.
